Rite of The Sick
This sacrament was known as the “last rites”, but the original intention of healing has been reestablished since Vatican II in the 1960s. Thus, the focus has changed from a rite of passage at the end of life to a spiritual aid for many needs.
Through prayer, the laying on of hands, and holy oil, this sacrament offers healing of body, mind, and spirit. If you are living with a prolonged illness, preparing for surgery, or struggling with physical, psychological, or spiritual pain, please consider receiving this loving sacrament.
